Polycrystalline Diamond Wire Drawing Dies (Round Hole)

The PCD wire drawing dies have high abrasion resistance, thermal conductivity, high toughness, and strength, which can be applied for high-speed drawing. By the bonding types, our major products are classified into cobalt-based and silicon-based. The cobalt-based dies have good machinability but are prone to graphitization at high temperatures because of the existence of the metal bonds. Reversely, the silicon-based dies have good thermal stability even at 1000℃ but show relatively poor machinability.

PCD Wire Drawing Dies (cobalt-based blanks) for the round hole: the relatively large grain size, hard wire drawing, can be processed by laser and ultrasonic technology, the processing and using temperature need below 650 ℃.

The highly polished dies can be used for gold and silver wires to ensure the high requirement of surface finish and maintain the wire roundness of automotive wire, cable wire, and other medical wires in an efficient way.

Hard wire drawing— stainless steel wire, iron wire, tungsten wire, molybdenum wire, welding wire, other alloy wire, etc.

Soft wire drawing—-aluminum wire, gold wire, silver wire, copper wire, etc.

Product Characteristic

High impact resistance, good wear resistance, and high hardness. The PCD with the D-D bonding makes it more uniform and dense, therefore, the product can be provided with high abrasion resistance and anti-cracking.

The PCD dies to perform good processability and machinability, and the diamond grits with random orientations gain the advantage of uniform wear to ensure the roundness of the drawing wire.
